AlfaSight Upgrade
What's happening?
We have upgraded the AlfaVue server to improve security and availability. Simultaneously, we have published an upgrade to AlfaSight tablet software which adds features and changes settings to point to the new AlfaVue server.
On Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 12:00pm GMT, the AlfaVue reporting server was down for approximately 4 hours for the upgrade.
The new AlfaVue reporting server is now available. To access the new server, you must install AlfaSight v5.7.
Upgrade Instructions
Follow these instructions on this page to upgrade your tablet software to AlfaSight v5.7.
Power on your AlfaSight tablet and connect it to the internet.
Start Internet Explorer browser by double-clicking the shortcut on the left side of your taskbar. If you don't see the shortcut, click the Start menu button on the far left of your taskbar. Enter "internet explorer" in the search bar and hit Enter.
Click the button below to download AlfaSight v5.7 to the AlfaSight tablet.
When prompted, click Run or double-click "AlfaSight 5.7.exe" from your Downloads folder to begin the software installation.
NOTE: Internet Explorer may warn you that the program is unsafe and may refuse to download or run the program. If this happens, you'll need to turn off SmartScreen Filter. Do this by pressing Alt to open the Internet Explorer menu. In the Tools menu, if you see "Turn Off SmartScreen Filter", select that option. If you don't, select "Internet options" from the Tools menu, click on the Security tab, click the "Custom level..." button, then scroll down until you see an option for "Use SmartScreen Filter" or similar description, then choose the option to disable it. After disabling SmartScreen Filter, retry the button above to download and run the AlfaSight software update.
NOTE: If antivirus software prevents the software from installing, disable the antivirus software and retry the update.
Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

Questions or Problems?
If you have problems sending the patient data, first check that your AlfaSight settings are correctly pointing to the new AlfaVue server. In the AlfaSight program, select "Server URL" from the Settings menu. Check that your AlfaSight is pointing to https://alfavue.com/MyVue, which is the same page you would log into to retrieve your patient reports.
